Terms of Use

1. Acceptance
By using chobefilmawards.site and submitting a film to the Chobe Film Awards, you agree to these Terms and to our Submission Rules. If you do not agree, please do not submit.
2. Eligibility
Submitters must be 18 years or older or have permission from a legal guardian. Submitters must hold all necessary rights to the film being submitted.
3. Entry Fees
Entry fees are non-refundable once a submission has been received. Submissions are only confirmed once payment has been verified. Founding Filmmaker waivers are limited, non-transferable, and may be used only once per filmmaker.
4. Content & Copyright
You retain full copyright of your film. By submitting, you grant Chobe Film Awards a non-exclusive license to use your film's title, poster, stills, and synopsis for festival promotion and the Official Selection catalogue. If selected, you grant permission for a short excerpt (max 60 seconds) to be used in festival promotional material.
5. Selection & Judging
The festival's selection team and jury decisions are final. We do not provide individual feedback on submissions. Notification of selection is at the festival's discretion.
6. Prohibited Use
You may not submit content that infringes third-party rights, contains illegal material, or misrepresents your authorship. Fraudulent submissions will be disqualified without refund.
7. Limitation of Liability
Chobe Film Awards is not liable for technical failures, loss of data, or third-party service interruptions (including PayPal) beyond our reasonable control. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount of the entry fee paid.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
